Lessons for a Doubting Prophet

 

“The classic novel Pilgrims Progress is an allegory about the Christian life. In this story, we follow along as the main character, a man named Christian of course, fleas from his hometown, the town called The City of Destruction. And he finds his way to the Wicked Gate, then to the Cross where he loses the heavy burden he's been caring and he's given new clothes and then he sets off on the long, difficult, and dangerous journey to the Celestial City. At one point in the journey, after meeting a traveling companion named “Hopeful,” they become frustrated because the path gets difficult and rough and so they find an easier path…”
