1.)  How was "vision" defined in the sermon?  How was "mission" defined?  Are they helpful terms in understanding your own personal ministry?  Your church's ministry?  Have you ever been in a place without a vision for the future?

 

2.)  How do you see the importance of a future focus reflected in the teaching of Scripture?

 

3.)  What were some of the benefits of having a future focus?  Have you experienced any of these?  Have you ever been in a place without a vision for the future?  What is the effect? 

 

4.)  What does Isaiah 61 teach us about our present and our future?  How should these truths affect the way that we live?

 

5.)  What does it mean to be an "oak of righteousness"?  What role does the church play in helping us to become "oaks of righteousness”?
