Middle School Boy’s Bible Study (6-8 grade)

Have you ever struggled to understand the Bible?   Do you desire to cultivate deeper, Christ-centered friendships with other boys, then come out to our Middle School Boys bible study!

Ben Hagerup and John Asbury will be modeling the OIA (Observation--Interpretation--Application) Bible Study method throughout the year. In our first meeting on Sept 25, Ben will give an overview of O-I-A.  Then, in subsequent weeks, we will be practicing the O-I-A method by doing Bible study together through the gospel of Mark.  No prior experience is required. This will not only be a time for sharpening the mind but of also cultivating friendship and fellowship around the Scriptures. Hope you can join us!

Middle School Girl’s Bible Study (6-8 grade)

In the church, we often talk about God's grace, but what does that really mean, and how do we actually know that God is gracious? What are tangible evidences of God's grace toward us, and once we've received grace from God, how should it affect us and our relationships with others?

The middle school girls' study will use the workbook Becoming a Woman of Grace by Cynthia Heald to explore & answer these questions using the scriptures. The study will look at the many facets of God's grace, as seen through his character, works, promises, and salvation. As we see the many ways in which God has extended his favor & kindness to us, we'll also reflect on how we should respond - in the words of the author, "A gracious woman is a grace-giver. Because she receives inexhaustible grace, she can extend grace. Because she is deeply loved by her Father, she can love others. Because she hears the Lord speak graciously to her, she can communicate with grace." Please join us as we draw near to God by meditating on the generous gift of his grace, and as we seek to grow in reflecting that grace to the world.

High School Girl’s Bible Study (9-12 grade)

Are you a high school girl who wants to follow Christ but sometimes feels stuck emotionally or spiritually and don’t know how to pull out of it? You’ll want to be part of the Lies Young Women Believe book study this year! Taught by Brea Asbury and Chenea’ (almost) Pfisterer, we will join together to look at lies commonly believed by young women and the truths in God’s word that set us free. Come get encouragement and truths that will help you for the rest of your life!  We’ll be sharing real struggles and lifting each other up in prayer.  Hope you can join us!

High School Boy’s Bible Study (9-12 grade)

The study is for 9th through 12th grade boys. We will be studying Matthew using the OIA (Observation-Interpretation-Application) method of Bible study. For our first meeting on September 25, we will join the Middle School Boys for a review of the OIA method from Mr. Hagerup. The following meetings will examine the life of Christ as presented in Matthew. I look forward to seeing you there. Doug Sharp will be leading the study.
